AI Engineer

In this role, youll apply machine learning and AI techniques to solve real-world problems, deliver end-to-end solutions, and make our products smarter every day, all while learning, growing, and shaping the future of AI at Speakap.

What youll do

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models end to end.
• Build, maintain, and optimize robust AI and data pipelines for production use, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Prototype, test, and refine new approaches to improve models quickly and effectively.
• Monitor AI systems continuously to track performance and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to integrate AI into core product features.
• Stay up to date by exploring and applying new AI/ML frameworks, tools, and techniques.

What you bring

• Education & Background: PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field, with 24 years of hands-on experience in ML/AI engineering or applied machine learning, including at least 1 year working with advanced AI models (LLMs, VLMs, or multimodal).
• Programming Expertise: Strong Python skills, including familiarity with asynchronous programming.
• ML/AI Tools & Frameworks: Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn, plus hands-on work with LLM frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph.
• Solution Delivery: Proven ability to design and deliver end-to-end ML solutions; cloud experience (e.g., AWS AI/ML services) is a strong plus.
• Deployment & Infrastructure: Skilled in building RESTful APIs and deploying microservices with Docker and Kubernetes; knowledge of orchestration best practices is a plus.
• Mindset & Communication: Collaborative and ownership-driven, able to work independently, support junior colleagues, and clearly explain AI capabilities and limitations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
