At aanmelder.nl, we develop software for our own product. This means we do things the right way: using Scrum, conducting code reviews, continuous integration, and operating in identical dev, staging, and production environments. As a result, we deploy new versions to AWS twice a day.

About the role

Are you ready to build software that makes a real impact? At aanmelder.nl, we develop innovative solutions that bring people together through knowledge-sharing events. From A-brands to financial institutions and public organizations, our platform supports clients in creating unforgettable experiences.

As a Junior Developer, youll join our Product Development team, a dynamic group of nine professionals working together to deliver high-quality software. The team includes four experienced developers, a UX designer, a UI designer, and several flexible-hour colleagues who assist with specific tasks or projects. Youll be guided by experienced team members as you take your first steps on your career path, ensuring a supportive and inspiring environment.

Your responsibilities

• Write and test code to build and improve our platform;
• Take part in exciting development projects;
• Triage and resolve bugs to ensure a seamless user experience;
• Automate processes to boost efficiency;
• Follow to coding guidelines and industry best practices;
• Collaborate closely with other teams, including Customer Success, to provide technical support.

 

Your skills

• Youve written over 50,000 lines of code in multiple programming languages and are eager to master Python;
• Experience with web development: HTML, CSS, and Javascript (Vue is a plus!);
• A solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), basic data structures, and algorithms;
• Fluent in English, as our codebase and team communication are in English;
• Familiarity with tools and platforms like Git, GitHub, Ubuntu Linux, AWS, PostgreSQL, and SQLAlchemy is a bonus.
