Were looking for a sharp, hands-on Data & AI Engineer to streamline and automate Breezes operations from AI-powered partner acquisition and reservation flows to smart customer support tooling and smarter user-date venue matching.

About Breeze

At Breeze, we are building towards a future where people spend less time on their phones and more time connecting in real life.

The Breeze app is the dating app for real dates. We've built the world's first service that organizes actual offline dates at scale. On Breeze, users skip the online chat once you match, you pick a time, and we organize a real-life date at one of our partnered venues.

So far we've organized around 400.000 dates and are live in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, the UK and New York.

About The Role

Your mission is to make Breezes operations radically more efficient by automating the repetitive, improving the messy, and integrating the disconnected. Youll work across customer support, partner venue sales, partner account management, and the user/venue matching all essential to a great on-date experience and what makes Breeze unique.

This is a hands-on role with lots of ownership and variety. Youll be a link between several teams and work closely with our Chief Operational Officer, Chief Product & Tech Officer, and Sales Development Manager. Youll be the technical force behind smarter tooling, AI-driven agents, and more scalable operations.

Concretely, You Will

• Automate operations using AI build AI workflows/agents to handle partner reservations and automate lead generation, enrichment, and outreach. Make it faster and easier for us to grow into new cities.
• Improve the on-date experience own and improve the location picker logic, so users get better matches with available, relevant venues.
• Build support tooling improve our internal support co-pilot and help develop a smarter AI agent to reduce ticket load and increase user delight.
• Integrate systems set up syncs between tools like Pipedrive and BigQuery. Connect inbound leads, email tools, and dashboards with minimal friction.
• Create dashboards & lightweight infra help ops with user insights, partner dashboards, and form-based flows that feed directly into our systems.
• Be a self-starting builder youll often be the one to spot whats worth fixing next. Youll prioritize well, manage your own work, and ship things that make a real impact, fast.
  
  

About You

We're looking for a high-caliber builder who thrives on autonomy and breadth. Specifically:

• Smart & solution-oriented you learn quickly, enjoy solving messy problems, and can figure out what matters without needing a lot of guidance. Youre not just a doer, youre a thinker.
• Versatile technical generalist youre comfortable jumping between backend code, light frontend work, and scripting data flows. You dont need to be an expert in everything, but youre confident building and shipping end-to-end.
• AI-first mindset you already leverage AI in your workflow and often think where automation can save time or boost quality. Youve built or integrated AI agents, or youre eager to do so.
• Data engineering capable you know your way around databases, APIs, and data syncing tools like BigQuery or Airtable. Youve written scripts or built pipelines that move and transform data across systems.
• Independent & reliable you manage your own priorities, communicate clearly, and get things done. Youre someone others trust to take ownership and follow through.
• Bias for action you dont wait for perfect specs. Youre proactive, take initiative, and care about making a real impact not just writing code.

Salary: 5500  7500  on a full-time basis per month (gross), depending on your experience
